Architect designed and built with wood reclaimed from the original 1876 farmhouse, this luxurious 3,300 sq foot home offers 3 spacious bedrooms (sleeps 10), 3 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, open living room, den with wood burning fireplace, in-floor radiant heating and enormous windows that bring a 180° view of the countryside right into the house. A sun deck off the west side of the house is perfect for afternoon reading or cocktails, and the patio off the south side holds the barbeque and picnic table.

There is a cook’s kitchen with Garland commercial gas stove, a microwave, all needed pots & pans, a stove top espresso pot, a drip coffee maker, cutlery, dishes, and glasses. There is a full size vintage Sub-Zero fridge in the kitchen, and bar size fridge in the utility room close to the basement patio, along with a washer and dryer. Bed linens and towels are supplied.

Located at the top corner of a gently sloping 2-acre lot, the windows look out on the original 1876 barn, a reconstructed greenhouse, and a beautiful spring fed pond surrounded by bullrushes.

Across the road is a 12-acre wooded lot for short nature walks or quiet picnics, which is also a spectacular view in the fall as the leaves change colour.

In the winter, the slope of the 2-acre property is perfect for a toboggan run for children, and the pond can be cleared of snow for ice-skating. The house is a 30-45 minute drive from three ski hills (Jay Peak, Sutton, and Bromont), and the luxurious Spa Balnea.

A place to get away from it all, there is no internet or landline. Email and web-surfing available only on whatever handheld cellular device is brought by the renter.
